Key Process of Oil Fractionation Production Line

1.Preheating and Melting

In the Ocean oil fractionation production line, the raw oil is first heated to typically above 70°C to ensure complete melting of all existing crystals. This essential step resets the oil’s crystal structure, ensuring a clean, uniform liquid foundation for precise crystallization.

2.Crystallization

The controlled crystallization stage is the core of the Ocean oil fractionation production line. In this step, the oil is gently and uniformly cooled under continuous agitation until it reaches the target temperature. Cooling rate is critical. If the process is too rapid, numerous fine and unstable crystals may form, making filtration difficult; if too slow, overall efficiency is reduced. Within the oil fractionation system, precise temperature control allows high-melting triglycerides to gradually form stable, uniformly sized crystals. In some cases, seed crystals are introduced to guide nucleation and achieve an ideal crystal structure that ensures smooth and efficient separation.

3.Filtration

After crystallization, the slurry, containing both solid crystals and liquid oil, is transferred to separation equipment within the Ocean oil fractionation production line. At this stage, the goal is to effectively divide the solid hard fat from the liquid soft oil. The oil fractionation system commonly employs advanced filtration or centrifugation techniques, such as vacuum drum filters and membrane filter, to achieve precise and efficient separation.

Raw Materials

The Ocean oil fractionation production line supports multiple fractionation methods to suit different raw materials. Main Equipment

Crystallizer

The crystallizer is the core equipment for precise fractionation. Ocean's advanced crystallizer features a dual-coil internal cooling structure with mechanical agitation, ensuring rapid and uniform temperature reduction without dead zones. The PLC-automated system executes a pre-programmed multi-stage crystallization and conditioning curve – precisely controlling cooling rate, agitation speed, and holding time to avoid supercooling, promote stable, uniform crystal growth, and achieve optimal crystal habit. This delivers higher olein yield, superior stearin purity, and consistent product quality.

Membrane Filter Press

Ocean equips our fractionation lines with the high-efficiency Membrane Filter Press. After initial cake formation, the membrane squeeze mechanism applies pressure up to 15 bar to extract additional trapped olein, maximizing yield while producing exceptionally dry stearin cakes. Fully integrated with PLC automation, the system enables one-button operation from feeding to cake discharge, significantly reducing labor costs and improving separation efficiency.
